Jogjakarta City is in Central Java, and is one of Indonesia’s top tourist destinations. On top of that it’s the heart of Indonesian Hashing. The city is visited yearly by tourists from all over the world. The cradle of Javanese culture, Jogjakarta and has lots to offer you in terms of Hashing, Tourist attractions, Historical Heritage and Architecture.
With daily International flights from Singapore, Malaysia and National flights just a short hop from Bali and Jakarta, Jogjakarta is so easily accessible. And with Visas available on arrival, it's very tourist friendly and an easy place to get in.
Jogjakarta is rich in Culture and is the residence of the Royal Palace of the King of Java. Jogja, as it is more affectionately called is famous for its spectacular Ramayana ballet at the Prambanan Temple and of course, in less than one hours drive away, lies the awesome Borobudur Temple. Jogja is also famous for its Shadow Puppet Shows and is a major designer and producer of fine Indonesian Batik.

Java is already famous for its diverse selection of Local and International food with prices so cheap compared to the West, offering Hashers real value for money, and on any budget. Hashing in Java is famous for its amazing sunsets and spectacular scenery. With runs through Rice Terraces, Rainforests, Rivers, Caves and Waterfalls, around Lakes and up Volcanoes.
We are certainly not strangers to large groups, we hosted the Pan Indo Hash event in 2005 with nearly 2000 attendees.
What we can promise you is the event will be held on the 24th to 27th May 2012, which will not be in high season, meaning lower cost flights and accommodation. Also hat the beer will be cold and plentiful with no queues, a massive stage with the incredible Borobudur Temple as the stage backdrop, a massive dining area, amazing runs with no transport hassles, refreshment on the buses to and from the runs, plenty of ice, a Down Down Competition, a Red Dress Run around the Royal Palace city, A spectacular Sunrise run up Mt. Bromo (for those daring enough), a Live Volcano run up Mount Merapi, Pre and Post Lubes planned in neighboring Jakarta, Bandung, Bali and Lombok, a hash train run from Jakarta through the Tea Plantations to Bandung, voted one of the most scenic train journeys in the world, then a train down to Jogja.
When you stop Hashing we have Golf, White Water Rafting, Shopping, Sightseeing and Indonesia’s largest drive through Safari Park.
